Dr.Zhong Li, CEO of UBi Group, presents details of UBi’s innovative green enterprise programme to senior government and ministry officials from Beijing who visited the company’s UK headquarters at Keele Science Park.
UBi Group, a global leader in the field of applying green technology innovations to the world’s leading corporations, hosted a visit from a senior Chinese Government delegation from the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) on 27th June in its UK Headquarters in IC4, Keele Science Park.
The distinguished government team, led by Madam Zhong Ming, the executive president of CCIIP (China Council of International Investments Promotion), included the Director of CCIIP and senior officials from China Sourcing Services.
They were shown the Phase III expansion of the Science Park by representatives from UBi Group, headed by their CEO Dr. Zhong Li. Also in attendance were senior executives from CSC (Computer Science Corporation) and BT (British Telecom), who are UBi’s strategic business partners in the field of green IT innovations and solutions.
A formal meeting in UBi’s boardroom was followed by a banquet lunch in the historic setting of Keele Hall, at which the Chinese visitors were joined by officials from the University of Keele including Professor Patrick Bailey, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Completing the international gathering were representatives from Advantage West Midlands and Newcastle Borough Council.
During the visit Madam Zhou commented “We are very impressed by the significant progress which the UBi UK team has made in recent months on their Green Technology Programme at Keele. MOFCOM will continue to provide our ultimate support for this major strategic transformation programme to ensure UBi’s successful delivery of the programme for the best outcomes in the UK and China.”
With the significant international collaboration and strategic investments involved in UBi’s Green Technology Programme in the UK, the company is expecting continuing visits from Chinese Ministerial Authorities and major conglomerates of UBi’s business partners in China to their IC4 offices in forthcoming months. Keele’s ‘Green Campus’, in which UBi UK is located, is really making its mark on the international business scene.
